Hannah and Brian’s wedding was so full of personalized details and storytelling- all a testament to Erin of Events by Pins & Petals. It all begins with their location selection at a private yacht club in Alameda. Hannah and Brian having a shared history of rowing at Cal State Berkley and other nautical adventures. Needless to say, such a crucial part of their story had to be represented in the planning of their day. Erin found the perfect venue that suited all of their planning details in the Encinal Yacht Club.

Hannah and Brian wanted to develop a color palette that was vibrant and colorful, but not overly feminine. We originally planned on a custom wooden arch they were going to have commissioned, but in the end they decided to go with a gold circular arch from our inventory. We loved seeing the arch come together the way it did. The design was reminiscent of fireworks like an explosion of color over the water!
Erin created a color story full of fuschia, orange and purple tones with blue decorative accents to tie into the nautical theme for their Yacht Club Wedding. We elevated their reception table designs with colored votives and textured ivory taper candles. Hannah loved the varieties of flowers we selected during our mock-up, which is always so exciting! We incorporated cosmos, ranunculus, carnations, dahlias, snapdragons, and larkspur into their floral designs, mixed with some other seasonal blooms.
The subtle nods to Italy in their seating chart and the Aperol Spritz wall was so fun, and added more color to cocktail hour! Hannah and Brian brought their blue Vespa, which was a great addition to cocktail hour (and how on-theme is that)!
Hannah and Brian’s yacht club wedding was such a colorful, and lively day we loved partnering with Events by Pins & Petals to produce! The shoreline of Alameda was a stunning backdrop for their nautical nuptials. Captured by Danyelle Dee Photography. Scroll through more from their gallery:
