English Garden-Inspired Wedding at Rosewood Sand Hill

Sarah and Tom’s intimate wedding at Rosewood Sand Hill was just a beautiful, family-oriented event. Sarah’s sister, who has a background in hospitality, contacted me just a few short months before their wedding date. I was preparing for a relatively quiet wedding season as I just found out we were expecting our first child. Rosewood Sand Hill is a 5-star resort venue just 30 minutes from our studio, so I was eager for the opportunity to add one more beautiful wedding to the roster during my early pregnancy.

The Rosewood Sand Hill Wedding Ceremony Design

Working together with Sarah’s sister to craft the vision for the day- we agreed that the rose garden on the Sunset Lawn would be a beautiful backdrop for a large arch. After trading inspiration for the design, we decided on an full arch with abundant greenery and white textured blooms. Designed on our custom, 8ft iron arch structure rental in a bronzed metallic tone, this was the PERFECT choice as we saw the flush of roses on the surrounded bushes.

We used a mixture of lisianthus, statice, spray roses, italian ruscus, and huckleberry foliage to create this beautiful arch. I loved how this combination mimicked the style and texture of the rose bush border of the ceremony space.

Cocktail Hour into Reception

Since this was a relatively intimate wedding of under 100 guests, we went with a more reduced vision for cocktail hour. Sarah specifically wanted to see some fluffy hydrangeas in cocktail hour. We designed a large bar arrangement with them since they were in season! The adorable bud vases with sweet peas, agrostemma and tweedia were just the cutest addition to the cocktail tables.

The reception tables were designed with abundant candlelight, and unique chairs rented to complete the styling. We created lush, garden-style centerpieces in a warm, pastel color palette to compliment the blue details.

I thought without a shadow of a doubt, it would be shade of green. So did everyone else I discussed this with after the announcement was made… It’s an interesting […]
