Megan + Issac // Capitola Wedding

Megan and Issac held their wedding at Monarch Cove Inn, a sweet and intimate venue on the Capitola Coastline. It was an honor to design for such a lovely, kind couple! Megan had reached out to me almost a year in advance to book her wedding with us, expressing her interest in a fairly modest wedding style with lots of sage green foliage mixed with peach, white, soft yellow, and coral floral accents.

Megan had sent me various inspiration images from Pinterest in a old-world inspired style featuring large focal flowers, weaving soft and whispy greenery throughout with textured filler flowers. I designed her bridal bouquet in a full, oval shape with her must-have flowers: Cafe Au Lait Dahlias and Coral Charm Peonies. The Pepperberry foliage gave her bouquet that breezy, oceanic aesthetic she was wanting and blended beautifully with Seeded and Silver Dollar Eucalyptus.

The Bridesmaids donned various styles of a soft peach colored dress that complimented the florals perfectly. Their bouquets were designed in an asymmetrical style and included “Shimmer” Roses, “Creme de la Creme” Roses (one of my personal favorites), “Alabaster” Garden Roses, peach Stock, white and peach Statice, and several varieties of eucalyptus.

One of the statement designs Megan and Isaac requested I include in their proposal was a wrought-iron arch with greenery weaved around and two elongated floral arrangements running down the sides. The arch created such a perfect backdrop against the foggy-morning coastline brightening up the ceremony location and bringing in more of the peaches and corals Megan was in love with. In my opinion, Capitola and Santa Cruz weddings can easily be influenced by gloomy weather but a stunning arch or ceremony arrangements can brighten up and bring life to any backdrop!

We were really so lucky to get to work with Megan and Isaac. They were truly one of the most kind and grateful couples we have designed for. They paused in the middle of their couples photos with one of the sweetest photographers I have ever met- Shannon Zurawski from Sunshine Shannon Photography- to run over and give us a huge hug and tell us how much they loved their flowers! It makes the job so rewarding to know we helped make their day so special.

“My husband and I are so grateful for the magic that Love in Bloom brought to our wedding and were even more delighted to work with such a wonderful couple.” ~ Megan

Praise from the Couple

“My wedding vision was surrounded on greenery and flowers and I always knew that it would be my most important detail of the wedding planning. I had a vision and put my trust completely in Autumn. She took my vision and made it everything I wanted and more! Never did I imagine that my entire dream wedding and imagination could be visualized and brought to life, but when I saw the amazing work that Autumn and Steven did I could not have been happier. Autumn really took every detail and photo that I had suggested and made it even better. She is an artist! On top of her incredible talent, she is extremely communicative, easy to reach, and wonderful to work with!
